Occasionally in my home there is a odd sound in the plumbing, it sounds like a hum or vibrantion. It goes away after ten

minutes.

Answer- an odd hum or vibration in your waterlines is usually a sign of a worn out fill valve on your toilet, it may need to be

replaced, to test for this when you hear the sound go around to each toilet and shut off the water supply, if the sound stops

your have located the problem, replace the ballcock and the problem will be gone.
